I agree with everything that Jason is saying. DIRECTV is a pretty awesome company and the app is undoubtedly out of this world, but I don’t think it’s offering it’s consumers a lick of value. I too have DISH Network with my employee account and I’ve been using the DISH Remote Access app with my Sling Adapter as well and I have unlimited access to my DVR to watch live and pre-recorded content. Not only that but I don’t have to be at home to do so and as long as I’m connected to my 3G network, I’m good to go. Considering everything that Jason has said, I’ll be moving out on my own soon and I wanted to check into other companies and see what I could get for my money’s worth and I came across this site http://besttvforme.com/. It outlines all of the major companies and details their benefits from fees, all the way up to customer service. The best overall company was DISH Network and with that being said, I know I’m going to stick with my DISH.

Is it just me or does it seemed a little rushed? Working at DISH Network I follow all the providers few new technology, you have Comcast and TWC, with their huge ole On demand online content portal, but no live streaming, and now we can add, a great app to turn your 500.00 Ipad into a remote control. I guess for someone who doesn't want their Ipad to do much, although that brings me back to my rushed part, Directv is trying to catch up to the industry because it spent a year with its head in its little corner like it had been bad. I am sure if anyone can get you to stream your recordings and their online content to your ipad its Directv. Oh wait, its been done. If I am going to spend that much on a piece of electronics, might as well get a sling adapter, at least that way you can stream Live tv, recorded DVR's and online content to your ipad wherever you are. Or you could sit on your couch, and play with your remote, if you like.

“I have worked with Jeff Cooper of Simply Sight & Sound, Inc. for almost a decade now. As a matter of fact, Mr. Cooper is the only one I've ever allowed to do audio/visual work in my homes. And, there have been many projects over the years. Furthermore, I am a very particular person, and Jeff is an absolute professional in every sense of the word. He is a technical expert (always staying up-to-date on the latest developments), extremely professional, trustworthy, reliable, friendly, fairly priced and always able to create a solution for any audio/visual need that I may have. In my opinion, there is no one better in this field of work, and I highly recommend Mr. Cooper for any high quality audio/visual project that you may be considering. You will not be disappointed.
